Weston-super-Mare AFC has been a key part of the community since being reformed in 1948.
As part of the club’s strategy to develop local talent, the Weston-super-Mare AFC Academy was launched in 2012, and is proud of its success and the players who have developed through the ranks.
Weston-super-Mare AFC are committed to developing an Academy that has a strong local base.
An academy that is proud of its heritage and is dedicated to providing opportunities to local players whilst also attracting players from the wider area because of its reputation and strong values.
Starting at Unders 6s, Weston-super-Mare AFC Academy supports young players development all the way through to Under 19s with our successful player pathway programme.
Our Coaches.
Fundamental to our success as a club and the development of our players is our coaches, who are at the heart of the academy. As a club our coaches are qualified and trained to the highest standards, attend regular CPD events, and have all the relevant security checks in place.
Player Pathway.
We understand the importance of creating pathways for our players to support progression. We have developed a partnership with Weston College which can enable players in our Football Academy to progress into semi-professional football.
