U14S TEAM SEARCH FOR NEW TALENT

Our U14s were Junior Premier League South West Championship Winners last season and are now looking to add players to this team, to help them grow and take that next step in their development this season.

All players within the Weston-super-Mare AFC Academy, receive 2 quality training sessions each week, on a Monday 7:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday 6:00pm - 7:00pm. Training on our own 3G astro turf pitch, located right behind the main first team pitch.

Joining the Development Phase of the academy will focus on players' improvement in tactical, technical and psychological aspects of the game. Our scheme of learning training programme has been designed and created by our head of football and coaching, U19’s manager and ex-professional footballer, Mark McKeever. Each age group within the academy follow this to ensure that the Weston-super-Mare AFC identity is shown from U8’s to U19’s.

Players are closely monitored throughout their time in our academy to ensure they are developing and improving on our academy pathway with the aim of reaching our Senior Phase (U18’s - U19’s) and eventually stepping out for our first team.

The academy players also have access to a sports therapist and physio should any injuries occur.
