U9S ACADEMY COACH
ROLE SUMMARY:
To organise and manage the under 9s squad involving the players, parents and opponents in the Junior Premier League. You will be required to select the squad and coach the team to develop the players in conjunction with the training syllabus.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• To work in conjunction with the academy director, managing director and academy secretary in the delivery and monitoring of coaching at Weston-super-Mare AFC;
• To be a part of the team of coaches to maximise the opportunities for young players across all age groups to reach their full potential in line with the club Player Development Plan and philosophy;
• To monitor and assess the performance of players and keep and maintain all appropriate records using the clubs preferred system;
• Contribute to the match day preparations including pitch set up;
• Ensure the facility is left as found on check out, including pitch, pitch surroundings, storage container, changing rooms and bar;
• Contribute to the scouting and recruitment process were appropriate;
• Contribute to fundraising events and functions were appropriate;
• Contribute appropriately to the development of teaching and coaching resources;
• Contribute to parents evenings, meeting and maintain relationships with parents and club officials;
• Undertake pastoral and welfare duties in conjunction with the club welfare officer;
• Undertake administrative tasks related to the role, including squad notifications (4 days prior to fixtures), match documents, session evaluations, match reports (uploaded to JPL by midnight on the day of the fixture) and prompt responses to email;
• Undertake other appropriate duties as directed by management.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Hold a minimum FA Level 1 Coaching Award;
• Hold and enhanced DBS Check through the FA;
• Hold a valid FA Coaches Club membership.

This is a paid role up to £3300 plus expenses, kit and 1st team season ticket.
